Therefore colours are such an essential part of product design that every year Pantone® chooses a colour for the year in a thoughtful process & trend analysis by top leaders from differing areas of the design industry. The colour reflects what is taking place in our global culture at the moment in time. It’s trend forecasting on a macro level and connects the mood of the global zeitgeist with the attitude of consumers around the world.
